Team WoW was formed in July of 2007 and quickly burst into prominence in the U-16 league with a very respectable loss to the decorated Futsal 101 before going on to win the Division 1B Final 6 - 5 in a show-stopping derby against The Matildas in front of a capacity crowd. Trophies since then have been few and far between, however. A disappointing 2011 season, where they finished 5th and missed the finals for the first time in their 5 year history set them back significantly, but fans looked optimistically to 2012 and the return of key play-maker Jonathon Bryan who they hoped would re-balance the team.
2012 Term 1 yielded an impressive runners up result. The side had hoped to deliver their fans a title after a long dry spell- its been almost 6 years- but were jumped early in the final to some high tempo futsal and found themselves 3-0 down at the break. Desipte a spirited come back after half time, they fell short 4-2 to Dynamo, who were crowned champions.
