Opinion: Substitution Shambles

In the last two games, one problem has stood out above the rest for Team WoW. Substitutions. When the team is missing a player or two, the system is simple; sub off in order, one person at a time. When a full complement has been present, however, the substitutions have been disgraceful. Sol Foster was the first to challenge the system during the match against The Originals, urging Team WoW management to rectify the situation before the next game. Nothing has been done. Against Athletico Firpo, Team WoW introduced a confusing scheme of double substitutions which partnered Phil Gale and Wil Darling, both star defenders, meaning every two substitutions a gaping hole was left in the defence. Moreover, the frequency and randomness of the scheme meant the team lacked cohesion. This resulted in two major problems: an at times disorganised defence, with some players unaware of their duties; and loose passing in the attack, meaning the final ball was often lacking. With Team WoW in crisis, they have turned to you, the readership of teamwowfutsal. How can Team WoW better organise their substitutions?

  1. With a full compliment i reckon we should have pairs with one defender and one forward. So like Jordan/Wil Sol/Andy Iain/Phil and Alex and I. Unfortunately that means you will never not be playing with Sol, Andy.
