Can the New Kidd on the Block Replace Old Hand Bryan?
With Alex Kidd's debut for Team WoW fast approaching, questions are being asked of whether he can fill the shoes of his predecessor, former team captain Jonathon Bryan, who ran away to be a Baha'i earlier this year. With Kidd, 18, assuming Bryan's position in forward, many fear the same flair and erraticity will be absent from the team. "With Bryan, you never knew what you'd get," Futsal analyst Peter Thompson commented yesterday. "One week he'd score five, the next he'd spend most of the game on the floor, it really confused the opposition." Thompson went on to suggest that Kidd is simply too consistent to fill Bryan's role adequately. Kidd says he's confident going into his first game but has "great respect" for the feet that once filled his shoes. Bryan was one of the founding members of Team WoW and brought a wealth of experience which will surely be missed. With just 6 days remaining until the first game, it will soon be revealed whether the new Kidd has what it takes.
