Parrott and Rayment Return?
With Team WoW's last match of the season still days away, anticipation is already building as recent reports speculate that Tim Parrott and Sterling Rayment may return for the all important clash with Derwent United. An anonymous blog commentator claimed today that a 'reliable source' has suggested that the pair may be available for Sunday's big game. "I have it from a reliable source that a certain T. Parrott and S.Rayment may be available for Sundays big game," the report read. It went on to mention that the game could bring back some intense memories of the Clare Street performance of 2010. "I don't know if I'm the only one but that sure brings about some intense memories of the Clare Street Performance [sic] of 2010."
Parrott and Rayment both signed short term loans last season for Team WoW and had an instant impact. Parrott scored a hattrick on debut and Rayment hit the equalizer in the aforementioned Clare Street semi-final.
Team WoW spokesman Jordan Scott was strategically ambiguous in interviews today. "We cannot confirm or deny the reports," the striker said. He also mentioned, however, that the pair were 'indispensable' to the club in their last spell, and that the boys in black would be "honoured to have them back" - that is if there's room in the squad and Football Federation Tasmania grant permission.
All will be revealed this Sunday at 5:50. Team WoW's finals ambitions hang on the last game, needing maximum points to ensure entry.
