Just weeks out from the commencement of the 2012 Term 1 season, Team WoW striker Jordan Scott has pledged the boys in black are up for the challenge, even after a less than impressive end to last year's competition. "There was certainly a lot of disappointment in the dressing room after our exit last season," the striker commented in a press conference yesterday. "But I am convinced we are as strong as ever at the moment, and we'll give the fans something to cheer about come April."
The Taroona team will be slightly reshuffled this term, as controversy-prone striker Jonathon Bryan returns from Haifa midway through the season. "It'll be great to have Jono back," Scott commented. "We've really missed his flair. Even his presence on the field is a huge lift."
Bryan's return, however, is not all good news. With Team WoW's squad already large, the Baha'i injection will likely tip the scales and require significant cuts - Scott declined to comment on this. Experts expect at least two departures.
The new season kicks off on January 29.
