In typical fashion, Jordan Scott has talked up his team this week, praising the defence as the 'best in the league.' The striker pointed to Team WoW's goal concession record, which is the lowest in the league - averaging just over three a game, as proof of the fact.
"We are the best in the league - simple as that," Scott said in a press conference this morning. "The defensive unit of big bad Riske in goal, with a combination of Andy, Phil, Robbie and Alex in front of him is simply impenetrable at times." He singled out recent signing Alex Kidd as being one of the most impressive. "He's really come good in these last few games. He gives a hundred and twenty per cent every time and his positioning is incredible."
Futsal analyst Peter Thompson agrees with Scott. He suggests the defensive side of the team is responsible for its success this season, specifically in the most recent game against top of the table Back Handed Panthers (the match report of this game appears below). The only question that remains is this: which defensive combination is the strongest? We will be asking you, the reader, this week in our online poll. Be sure to vote.
