Recent reports have revealed that in form striker Sol Foster will be unavailable for the remainder of Team WoW's season. Sources close to the club claim Foster, who has notched up 7 goals in his last two games, is headed for Canada.
Team WoW will undoubtedly feel the loss of the big man up forward, especially as they face two of the top teams in the next two weeks (Derwent United and Sbara) before what promises to be a grueling finals campaign. Canada-born team captain Andy Thompson refused to comment on the situation other than to say with or without Foster the boys in black are up to the task. "Foster is an amazing player in amazing form at the moment," Thompson commented in a press conference on Wednesday. "But with or without him, we have what it takes to lift the trophy this year."
Team WoW currently sit in fourth place, largely due to Foster's impressive 12 goal haul in just 6 games. However you look at it, Foster's absence means a huge blow to the Taroona side. See them in action this Sunday at Aurora.
